How to Lose Fat without Exercise
Can you believe we’re already in May!? Making this our fifth newsletter. By now you’ve probably gotten into your daily routine and things are finally settled for 2023. Yet, exercise isn’t a part of that routine. There are so many reasons why we don’t exercise; whether it’s lack of time, energy, an injury or a disability, but we all deserve to feel confident in our body. I’m sure we all have certain areas on our body where we wished we had less fat or were more toned.
Here are a few treatments that will get you on track to losing that stubborn or annoying fat with little to no effort:
Laser Lipolysis (Laser lipo)
Laser lipolysis permanently removes small fat deposits by emitting heat and penetrating the skin to heat the fat cells underneath. These cells die and are absorbed by the body. It's considered to be a form of non-invasive body sculpting. Full results can be seen a few weeks after treatment and multiple sessions are recommended. The cost of this procedure is $9,500 per session.
High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (Hifu)
HIFU is a popular non-invasive procedure because of its ability to tighten and lift the skin, stimulate collagen production and promote fat reduction. Targeted ultrasound energy heats the tissue which triggers the body’s natural healing response resulting in collagen production which leads to skin tightening. This also causes cell disruption and fat breakdown. HIFU starts at $9,500 and multiple sessions may be required to achieve final results.
Lipo Shot
Lipo shot targets fat by injecting deoxycholic acid into the area. This type of procedure is called injection lipolysis which means the breaking down of fat through injection. It's commonly used to target the fat in the chin but can be used on almost any part of the body that has excess fat. Deoxycholic acid is naturally produced in the body to help make fats easily digestible. The cost of this procedure is $25,000 per session. If multiple sessions are recommended, they are done a few weeks apart.
B12 Shot (Slim Shot)
Vitamin B12 contributes to the health of your nerves and blood cells. Our body doesn't naturally produce this vitamin so it's important to find ways to consume it; whether it's through meat, dairy or supplements. Vitamin B12 helps our body to metabolise fat more efficiently and effectively. We recommend getting the shot once a week for swift results. The cost is $3,000 per shot.
